Shelton

I have five younger siblings. Two are brothers, three are sisters. This is my youngest little brother, Shelton. I asked him to let me take photos of him and he agreed.

Mary B Senior Shoot {College}

Not a lot of people know this, but I've known Mary and her family for going on 12 years now. It all started with piano lessons through our homeschool group. Mary's oldest sibling, a sister, taught piano to kids and when my parents heard, me and two of my siblings became her latest additions to the pool of students.

I enjoyed 'terrorizing' her and her little sister, Mercy, while I waited for my siblings to finish their lessons. They were both really shy, whereas I was the polar opposite. God's the only reason I didn't scare them off for good, I think. Hehe. We'd play while my siblings did their lessons and I'd always ask if they'd want to be friends. It's funny, when we look back on it.

It has been an honor watching Mary "grow up." I've personally watched this shy flower become a vibrant and blazing star through the many events and people God has put into her life. At the end of this semester Mary is graduating from LeTourneau University. Since she hadn't gotten any senior photos done in high school, she approached me about doing some for college. Of course, I was delighted indeed.

It was a lazy Sunday around 4 in the afternoon that we took off. I used a 300mm lens and posed her by a small waterfall to incorporate some wonderful bursts of water. After that we found a random alleyway then headed out to my house for the last part of the shoot.

We arrived at my lake house at sunset, just as planned. What wasn't planned, was all of the beautiful birds on the lake.

He has opened many wonderful doors for her and I am excited to see all that is in store. As God releases this blazing star into the darkened sky to melt the ice around it, I will be eagerly watching.

Richard - Brown Wedding

Hello readers!

I apologize for the length of time since my last post. I moved to California while I attended an arts school over the summer before I moved straight to east Texas to finish my degree at a college. Life has just now settled back down and with that I have started shooting again.

Recently I shot a wedding in the beginning of December that was simply beautiful. Everything felt so personal and friendly. The bride was beautiful and the ceremony was extremely sweet. I loved the fact she walked down the aisle to Gladiator music.

Everyone treated me as if I were family and knew them forever. They checked on me many times to make sure I didn't need water or anything. Like I said, they were very sweet. =D

Many blessings on your marriage, Jon and Summer!

Flittering Glitter & A Very Hannah Week!

So...

Yes, I said so! So what! Haha.

Anyways, I apologize for my posting being so spotty. Life (isn't that the excuse we all use?) was rearranging itself on me. Stressful, but good. I'm currently moving back to Texas (humidity, I DO NOT miss you) and of course, that means...ROAD TRIP!

I love road trips. They are amazing and awesome. :) I remember one summer, Summer 2006, that me and my father ended up racking in 7,000 miles on the road. We drove all over, spending time in Ontario (Canada), Niagra Falls, New York, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, New Orleans, Biloxi (Mississippi). Lots of fun. =)

That is why I've vanished. I officially haven't had a life for the past month or so due to that. I also got my first car, got accepted to an arts school this summer (which is such an honor! I am one of 500 from around the globe) and been working on my business. Speaking of business...

I have had a very Hannah week!

"How so?" you ask? Well, I had the lovely opportunity of working with two new clients this week--both of which, are named Hannah! Hannah One was wanting shots with her costume collection she will be wearing for her ballet company's Spring 2011 production. This Spring they are doing Swan Lake. Hannah is a lovely dancer who has been dancing for many years and during the Winter 2011 season I had the pleasure of watching her ballet company's production of The Nutcracker. Here are some of my favorite shots from the shoot:

Hannah Two graduated! I ended up doing her senior photos and I have to tell you that she is a lovely young woman! I cannot wait to see all that God has in store for her. Here are some of my favorites from that shoot:

As you can tell, I had a very fun week with the camera! :D And with this, I must bid adieu for now!

With glitter and much love,
Sarah
